It is a deep velvety blue that is out of this world but made right here in the USA. Neptune Blue has some sheen to it in higher saturations. Overall, I really like this ink. It is very similar in color to Akkerman #5 Shocking Blue. Majestic Blue is a little bit better behaved than Shocking Blue is.
